keyboard

Posted: Jan 1, 2012

My husband got me a Microsoft ergonomic keyboard and so far I hate it.  Keys are far apart, can't reach the backspace key and hit the wrong letters.  If anyone has it, what are your thoughts?  Did it take long to grasp the concept?

It did take a bit to get used to it, but now that I have, I just simply cannot use a conventional keyboard! Conventional keyboards make me feel like my hands are crammed together and compressing my chest in so much that I cannot breathe! Give it some time to get used to. Everything new is different and after time, you will adjust to it. Just give it a chance.

for your thoughts. I'll put a little more effort into getting used to it. LOL! Happy New Year!

Do the Alphabet - TL

Do the alphabet a few times on your off time. Also, and they taught me this in typing school 40 years ago: Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

Keep doing it and you'll be ready for work the next time around.

Ergonomic keyboards - Anonymous

I tried using the MS ergonomic keyboard 4000 but never did very well with it, my hands are small and had trouble making the reaches. I currently use the keyboard 3000. It is not split but smaller and ergonomically designed with a really nice action and it works well for me. Another one that I like is the keyboard elite (split design) but those are becoming harder to find in the retail stores. Logitech makes some nice ergonomic keyboards too.

hang in there, you'll love it before you know it! - nm

I yelled to my DH "Quick get the blow drier" thinking I would blow it dry.  My DH, AKA Tim the Tool Man, comes in with his hot air gun and said "This is will dry it faster."  Long story short, he melted my caps lock, A, Q, and W keys.  When I plugged it back in, it just continually types WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Now I'm stuck with a regular keyboard until I can get to Office Depot to buy a new ergo keyboard. MEN!!!  I can't be mad at him cause he was trying to he ...
