UPS STINKS!!!!!

Posted: Mar 26, 2010

I have come to the conclusion that I absolutely will not use this delivery company again. They are the rudest bunch of people I've ever met.

For the 4th time this year, I've received a delivery that has not been protected from the elements. It snowed last night. Here I come up the drive, and there sits my box all soak and wet from the melting, dripping snow above on my roof and laying in a puddle of melting snow. This guy didn't even take the time to put it in a plastic bag. He always does this. Leaves it in the wet snow in the winter and in the pouring rain in the summer with no protection.

Last month, my lady driver delivered a small package to me. I saw her coming, so I ripped off my earphones and rushed to the door to greet her (rather than waiting for her to plop it in the snow). I politely greeted her, and she didn't even walk the rest of the distance to my back steps to meet me and hand it to me. She simply threw the box up where it landed at my feet and said "Here, air mail." I was initially shocked and just stood there with my jaw dropped. I really couldn't believe that somebody could actually be that rude. Then I got really ticked off and wanted to kick her a**. I was about ready to jump in my car and chase her up the road, but I didn't.

I'm officially done with UPS.  USPS and FedEx have the same delivery options. USPS is actually the cheapest, and I love FedEx because they actually knock on your door and wait--their prices are a little bit cheaper or the same as UPS, too.

Never had any problems with them. Maybe you need to call the local UPS office and complain. That&# - mrs.krabs

When they started having the ability to just "dump and run" when delivering. Remember the good old days when they would knock and you had to sign for receipt? Pshhhh, now they just dump it somewhere in the vicinity of your door and leave.

I live in a historic building where all apartments are indoors (kind of a novelty in my area of CA), but there are 12 different apartments in my building, and the UPS delivery person doesn't even knock or ring the bell, just sets the package in front of our door, VISIBLE TO ALL TENANTS, and walks away. I don't even realize I have a package until I open my front door and practically fall over it.

UPS got a little too self-important, IMO, and their customer service went out the window.

I have actually, honest to God, watched the UPS guy drive past my house, slow down and literally throw my package out the door into my azalea bushes. Amazing. They have also just left things in obvious flood waters one step down from my porch. That had to be intentional. It wouldn't have even required an additional step, just lifting another 5 inches to the porch.

My husband works for FedEx Freight so that's all I use now and I have never had a problem. I'm just glad he doesn't have to wear those goofy shorts the FedEx Ground people do (lol).

And I heard recently they have the gall to request a BAILOUT - HelloKitty

I read that and thought to myself, "Dayummm, dudes, just pick up the customer service a few notches and have some freaking PRIDE in your job." Doesn't seem like it would be much to ask, but apparently it is.

They don't need a bailout...they need a crash course in good old Customer Service.

I always request USPS or FedEx. Gotta love those FedEx folks.

In my area, I had a great guy. Retired last year - Backwards Typist

He would even carry the box into the house if it was heavy.

The new guy will park at the end of the driveway and WALK the package up to the garage and put it inside. He's not as friendly, however, as my fav guy was, just wants to get his job done for the day.

You need to call and put a complaint in about that driver. He/she is lazy and inconsiderate and if there are enough complaints, bye-bye.

Just use the regular mail - just me

While I have fortunately not had what you went through, my UPS, FedEx, and mail couriers are all courteous. UPS even asked if I wanted to take the package or have him put it in my house (it was a heavy box).

I think each area is different and I am sorry to hear you have rude and iggy's that would do that with your packages.

I'd definitely complain to the main office and from now on use the regular mail system.

for UPS, I would definitely call and complain about your delivery person. There is no excuse for that. Not all are like that. I understand them just ringing the bell and leaving if it does not have to be signed for. They are not off duty until their truck is completely empty except for packages that need a signature and no one is there to sign for it. To the poster above, throwing your package at you is not acceptable at all either. Call and complain to your local office.

I agree. - UPS stinks

I ordered a TV from HSN and UPS left it outside my apartment, luckily it was still there when I got home. The last package they left was snatched.

where I live we have to sign the receipt before the packet is handed over - northeast

our packages on the front porch (covered). We did have a bad delivery guy right after a snow storm in December right before Christmas. We are on a private dirt road. Instead of driving down and delivering to each house, they just dumped all the packages down by our mailboxes at the end of the road. We could not believe it. A neighbor noticed, picked them all up and delivered them to everyone, and there were quite a few there too. We presume they did not want to come down and maybe get stuck (no one plows our road) but still was pretty amazing. Normally though am very happy with them.

When UPS has a package that needs a signature, the driver will ring my apartment from the lobby. If we do not answer our phone by the 2nd ring, he is gone--out the lobby door. Once after I managed to catch him as he was getting ready to pull out of the parking lot, I explained I could not get to the phone quickly enough. No apology--He just glared, had me sign, gave me the package, and off he drove without a word. Nasty people, UPS.

Being 46 And A Divorced Mom Stinks!!! Anyone My Age Feel The Same? SmNov 13, 2013
It seems that women who end up divorcing in their 30s or younger (although none of us wants to divorce at all) have a much better chance of finding someone new.  I divorced at 41 and can't seem to find anyone who is just a decent person.  Let's see, I don't make enough money, and I need to lose weight.  That probably all contributes.  Just feeling lonely and old and fat and broke.  Can someone please tell me that it gets better? ...
