I wonder how long she will get for the 4 charges of "lying" to the police. I swear, I am in disbelief of the system and, frankly, of the jurors. Were they so tired, they wanted to get out of there, or actually, were they tired of Florida tax payers paying for all her jail time, court costs, lawyer fees, etc? What about beautiful Caylee. Rest in peace for all eternity.

gets out, because of how many people feel that she was guilty of this crime, someone may take the justice system into their own hands, and give her the just rewards she deserves!

i cannot believe this either. I think someone wanted to go on vacation more than they wanted to see justice done in this case. I am stunned.

Did you see how George and Cindy left the courtroom after the verdict was read? They did not even go to her to hug her or speak to her. If that were my daughter and I believed in her I would race to her and congratulate her and never stop hugging her.

I did not have confidence in a just decision. Too many people let sympathy override facts and common sense. It's just a tragedy all the way around, but esp for the rest of the family. My only comfort is that God will have the final say.

I think because there was no DNA evidence tying the crime to Casey the jury felt by law they had to go with not guilty based on reasonable doubt. I wish they had done what Linda Drane Burdick pleaded with them to do, and that was to use their common sense. I guess we are to believe that Caylee ended up in a laundry bag in the woods on her own.

and the crowds. The police have blocked off all access to the Anthony neighborhood and home for their protection. They all had better pack up and move, because the public will not let this rest. There are many very passionate people out there over this case. Casey will be hunted down for the rest of her life now. They think it is over, and it has really just begun...for all of them. How can she even face her own family any longer after throwing them both under the bus? She has no where to go. She may as well stay in jail, as it is the only place she will be somewhat safe! God rest Caylee's soul.

There is a remote chance that she could be tried again in a federal court, but that seldom happens.
While I'm surprised by the verdict, when 12 people make a quick decision like this, it usually means that the prosecution didn't prove their case to the standard required.

Criminal Trial - Civil Trial

If a defendant is acquitted of murder in a criminal trial, the defendant can be tried in civil court, where "beyond a reasonable doubt does not apply," just a preponderance of evidence (at least 50.1%).

I am just saddened and stunned by this. DH and I sat with our mouths open. How in the world with all the evidence there they come to the decision they did. Not one person in the jury agreed with the evidence. That sounds a little weird to me. I don't know anyone in the country who thinks she is innocent, especially because of the evidence. This is hard cut evidence. Nothing that can make you wonder. The actions of that monster as she sat in court and the evidence of her video phone calls, everything just pointed to a guilty verdict. Even TV people who have been layers, etc and know the case all believed the evidence was so overwhelming that it would be a guilty. How can not even one person have any questions.

My thought is that possibly the jury was filled with people who believe in abortion and think nothing of killing innocent children.

I know she cannot be tried for the same crime, however, I hope justice will be served in some way. I wonder if the prosecution will do a mistrial or something showing the jury did not look at the facts, take notes or anything. I know defense can do appeals, just wonder if there is something like that for the prosecuter's side.

As for the jury I hope they realize they let a murderer go free. How will they ever sleep at night. I hope they will be held responsible.

I hope the parents will move away and cut all ties with the monster. After what she did to them I don't think anything will ever be able to repair that. Then I think the monster will end up watching her back the rest of her life.

Evil is allowed to walk free (after she services time for the crimes she was found guilty of), but none the less evil will walk out of the jail one day. She is a monster and someone should wipe that stupid grin off her face. She has no soul and is just a corpse walking the earth. I guess like OJ though, people who comit crimes will do it more than once. I hope that creature is never allowed to become pregnant again.

Guess all in all it's just a sad day.
