Removing glue from glass

Last week my stepfather bought new sliding doors and had them installed. It looks beautiful. He bought the kind with the tiny blinds between the glass. We just love the appearance, but when I took some stickers off for him they left big sticky glue marks behind. We tried different things, but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas? I mentioned I could bring some nail polish remover up, but I hope that doesn't leave a mark on the glass. Thanks!

Have you tried Goo Gone? It comes in spray bottle or liquid. - Olive

Rub a little oil on it and let it sit a while. It'll wipe right off. n/m - Shirl

Lighter fluid. - had similar problem

I use lighter fluid for cigarette lighters. Just squirt the lighter fluid on a paper towel, pretty heavily, and then use the towel to wipe the glue off. It works great on picture frames, etc.

I will be going up to the house today, and when I leave the glue will be gone!

Just be careful with both - highly flammable.

I went up to the house today and was looking around, and thought I wanted to use something safe for Morry (parrot), as her cage sits by the glass door. The only oil I could find was extra virgin olive oil. I put quite a bit on a paper towel and began to gently rub. Within 10 seconds the glue was just melting away and is now gone! Got the Windex out next, and it looks beautiful. Thanks again, everyone! LOL.

Well my cup is bone dry!! Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong since June. In the past month, everything that can break has broken.
