New Puppies

Posted: Nov 18, 2009

The puppies are gonna need their first shots at 4 weeks to get rid of any worms, etc.  Hopefully, momma does not have worms.  If she does, then the puppies will have them as well.  Ask your vet.

You can pretty much count on puppies being born with worms. Round worm in particular. They should be wormed, yes, but shots don't start at 4 weeks.

What Happened To Free Kitties And Puppies?Nov 14, 2009
I was on Craigslist today to look for my sister a kitty for christmas because hers just died and she hasn't been able to get another one.  People were trying to charge people like $500 to get rid of their dog!  I thought usually when you give a pet away that you do just that... give it away... for free.  Over and over again the people state that the fee is to make sure the animal goes to a good home, but that is CRAP!!!  People who treat animals like dirt can pay the fee ...

My Dog Is Preggers And I Don't Know Nothin About Birth No Puppies!Nov 16, 2009
She's a year and a half old boxer.  I kept meaning to get her spayed, but it always got pushed down on the list by other pressing bills and such.  I thought since I had a fenced in yard, I would be able to keep any males after her at bay, but apparently there are some sneaky little dawgs out there! Anyway, I have never had a pregnant dog before and I have no idea what to do when the time comes.  Do I have to help her deliver?  She was in heat towards the end of Septembe ...
