Is anyone on here near the 1000 islands in upstate NY. I am

planning on going up there for a few days middle of November and not sure what there is to do.  I know things close after Summer but just want to see what it looks like.  I am going from PA so it is a 5 hour drive for me.  Just staying two days probably at the 1000 island hotel in Clayton.

Am happy to report that it is just beautiful, so taking in the beauty is in order. If you need "to do" something, I would recommend renting a canoe or kayak. We have never done that there because we were more about relaxing and taking in the scenery, and perhaps having a picnic, but I would imagine the Chamber of Commerce Website would be a helpful place to start.

My daughter and I detoured through there on a trip back from Ottawa, ON. We went to see an old "home" that is like a castle on a private island. Very fun place to explore.
