I detest daylight savings !!!

Posted: Oct 19, 2009

This DSL and new rules is driving me nuts!!! not sure about anyone else but want to sleep for hours in the morning and ready for bed at 7 EST  I have gone though this through every time change, but with DLS being extended its even worse -- course it could be my biorhythm with living in PST for years and now being EST  -- when I wake up here at 10, my body is saying "its only 7"  -- I have taken Benadryl and Mellatonin  -- wake up at 5:30 then toss and turn for a bit  -- really not depression, a bit of financial worries but not much just driving me batty!!!

I'm on Central time. I grew up out in California on Pacific time. It has been really hard for me. It gets dark so early here! I just get finished with work, and I feel like I have been in a cave all day because it's dark outside and I haven't gotten out. Ugh! I usually take 1/2 of 1 Advil PM. I've tried all the others. I am able to wake up fairly refreshed with the Advil.

I love daylight savings. I hate it when it's dark by 5 PM. - Zircon

I get up late in the morning, anyway, so I'd prefer it be dark in the morning, rather than glaring sunlight at 6 AM. Early morning is the best time to sleep. I'm glad they've extended DLS time a few more weeks in the spring and fall. I just wish they'd do it year-round again, like they did for a year or two during the 1970's.
