Those look really nice. One reason the light might bother your eyes is that we’re not used to seeing the full spectrum indoors. It sounds as if you’re doing well and learning a lot. I’ve learned a lot about gardening by trial and error; what works for one person doesn’t always work for everyone. If you’re successful with the tomatoes, you can try other things, maybe an herb garden. You can definitely start seeds under those lights. Keep us posted on your progress. I wanted to mention that a site called Garden Web has a really active community and people share tips and tricks. I bet you would find quite a few people who grow vegetables indoors.
