Keep using the Prep H even if it burns. I think that it has become quite inflamed and probably raw for you. You DO want to shrink it. The stupid swelling is what causes your symptoms. Any kind of straining will agitate the inflammation, so diet change and maybe adding Senna will reduce friction on the vessel. Drink lots of water as well to keep stool soft. They are miserable to suffer through, but flares are temporary unless yours is severe enough to warrant surgical removal.
