It is a combination pest, half internal and half external. It bleeds if I am in constipation mode, but it does come and go. I use the Preparation H, which it is a cream inserted into the rectum. It does work well. I have also used a holistic oil from Natural Grocer's, which also gives good relief. I can't recall the name of it as I used it all and threw away the bottle.

Sitz baths don't work for me.

My other suggestion besides the above is to make sure that you keep everything very clean during a flare as I found bacteria tends to love the tiny folds inside.

Diet is very important, for sure.
