I've heard Dr. Fauci talk about HCQ and trials - going on. I've also read Posted: Jul 28th, 2020 - 4:56 am In Reply to: I don't know what Fauci's agenda is - anon
about the study in Henry Ford. I'm not sure why people question him, other than the fact Trump attacks him on a regular basis because Fauci follows the science, Trump doesn't believe in science.
The study is promising but as the newer article says about the study:
Dr. Zervos also pointed out, as does the paper, that the study results should be interpreted with some caution, should not be applied to patients treated outside of hospital settings and require further confirmation in prospective, randomized controlled trials that rigorously evaluate the safety and efficacy of hydroxychloroquine therapy for COVID-19.
“Currently, the drug should be used only in hospitalized patients with appropriate monitoring, and as part of study protocols, in accordance with all relevant federal regulations,” Dr. Zervos said.
I'm not sure why this isn't known by people who listen to Trump and not science, but it is used in certain conditions under certain conditions and there are many studies going on for many different things to help. In this country, we have to wing it because we have a leader who spends more time criticizing everybody than he does leading the country.
Trump claiming he is taking it would be highly unethical for the doctor who put him on it, if he really did. Point one, it would be highly ignorant to take or prescribe a drug to a patient unnecessarily, so unless Trump was in the hospital under controlled situation, he shouldn't have taken it. I personally don't think he did anyway, just blustering his fans.
Maybe there is a yet newer article, but this was all I could find. Please stop "wondering" if Dr. Fauci is doing his job, as his job involves science and facts and how they dictate the course, not just showboating as our clueless leader does.
