"Shirts Will Remain Optional" - KillerAngel Posted: Jul 16th, 2020 - 2:55 pm In Reply to: Walmart Now Requires All Shoppers To Wear Pants - Satire
That reminds me that when I was a kid (a long time ago, I'll admit), it wasn't unusual to see a sign that said "No shirt, no shoes, no service", mostly at establishments serving food (but not exclusively so). If you asked the owner about it, he usually said it was a health department regulation, and he didn't want to lose his license. Sometimes, it was just the type of clientele he did or didn't want in his store. Most everybody complied. Teens might mouth off, but that's what they do. Adults who raised a fuss were usually already "overserved", especially the women who had an issue with wearing a shirt. Adding a mask to that old sign is just not that big a deal to me.
