Library digital here - Central Florida Posted: Mar 30th, 2020 - 8:09 am In Reply to: Libraries - Covid-19 perks
I live in Central Florida and the libraries are closed until at least May. I have a big Stephen King book I borrowed so that is great b/c it gives me time to read. I discovered here we can look up books (anything we want) in the library and most have digital books. What happens at that point is you go to the link where you can borrow it and it will download onto Amazon and into your kindle. When you get it in your kindle you have 3 weeks to read and then can renew it or not. I can get anything that isn't checked out or if it is I am on waiting list. I have had anything my heart desires in this manner, and while I miss real books and the feel of real books, I can also read pretty much anything on my kindle ap. Also I thought about audible. Free trial on amazon and cancel anytime. This way you can download books and listen to them. I have been streaming shows on my phone and using the ear buds it is like the movies in my dark room. I am thinking when my eyes hurt I can maybe listen to books. I haven't tried it yet but think maybe it would be great to take a rest. Anyway I really love the digital library.
