then another depression. That is what I was referring to. Hoover did not like foreign lending or inflated stock market values, buying on the margin, etc.

Under FDR they tore down the old Republic, cast aside its Constitution, and built a new order based on arbitrary government. He seized private property, conducted illegal wiretaps, and tried to silence domestic opposition.

If you believe that FDR should never be criticized, then I assume you don't want to research FDR's recession and Great Depression. It's also revealing how the Democratic Party has evolved and how much of his authoritarian legacy is still with them.
