It’s a rather well known fact, and there is documentation to back it up, that Hubert Hoover was in office when the stock market crashed, I don’t know how Roosevelt could make things worse when he wasn’t even in office yet, at least he tried some things such as the conservation corps and dam construction that gave some people jobs. One theory is that World War II got us out of the depression with all the factory jobs. I’m not sure why people keep bringing up FDR unless they are trying to compare him to Donald Trump.
