God gives us the strength to endure under hardship. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” And many other Biblical scriptures reference God-given strength.

When the OP went on GFM and stated that she would appreciate any donations, but that prayer would be just as appreciated, it was then that I began in earnest to pray for her desperate situation. As Christians, we are commissioned to pray for one another, and in this case it was an immediate call to action. Through prayer, we ask God to intervene in someone’s life, whether it be for their safety or protection, guidance or direction, wisdom or understanding, for healing, for physical needs, etc. We don’t always know in what form an answer to prayer will come; only God is the ultimate authority on that. But, it is the prayer of faith that God honors when asking for His divine intervention. The OP’s situation warranted prayer, so that is what I and other faithful believers did and most certainly would do again for anyone reaching out for help in such dire straits. It’s been an absolute honor to have joined together with other prayer warriors who answered the call to pray throughout the past year.

It’s possible you’re struggling with having an attitude toward life where you must always be self-sufficient in all things, strong enough on your own to handle any adversity that may come your way. Maybe you think you have been doing this all your life, but whether you knew it or not there was probably someone somewhere at one time or another who prayed for you or offered you their help in your time of need...And yes, we can easily become victims of circumstances beyond our control. Look at the devastation happening around the world today because of this pandemic, affecting most everyone on the planet in some way or another - our jobs, our finances, our health. It's for certain, people are praying mightily right now. May God give us the strength to endure!
