Yes, an economic upturn happened under Obama. The facts are clear.
Trump's policies, which he outlined during the 2016 campaign and enacted during his presidency, have shown MORE growth by all objective measures than what we saw under Obama. Again, the facts are clear.
All you have to do is look at Obama's speeches. He used words like "new normal" to describe the anemic growth during his admin. How many times did he claim he was doing a "hard pivot" and "laserlike focus" on jobs? Remember how he add jobs "created or saved" to the job numbers? No previous president needed to count "saved jobs" and Obama never told us what a "saved" job was or how he was counting them. He wouldn't have needed to reassure Americans like this if they (or he) thought he was getting the job done.
Look at what Obama's saying now. "I did that! I started that!" If he had actually done it, he would have said that instead of the anemic language he used above.
