Democrats do not care more about illegal immigrants than our own citizens. I'm a Dem and I'd like to see stricter immigration laws enacted. I'm not the only Dem who feels that way either. You can't lump all Democrats together because a lot of us want immigration closely regulated. We want the laws that say immigrants can apply for asylum followed. We just do not want families and children abused at the border by the Trump Administration making up its own rules as they go along and treating people inhumanely by sending them away without at least allowing them to apply for asylum and not ripping kids away from their parents only to be separated for months and months. It is so very harmful to children to do stuff like that.
