The first observation I would make would be that if a helicopter crash occurred involving ordinary people not in the spotlight no investigation would have been made and it would have been forgotten the next day. I felt bad when I heard about it, because of his celebrity, his young age, and because his daughter was killed and he left behind a young family. I don’t remember the rape accusation but he probably had relationships with other women. No one believed OJ Simpson had skeletons in his closet either because of his fame as a sports star, until he killed 2 people. Somehow, being talented in sports seems to excuse all wrongdoing.
