So tragic - anon

It's really odd that they were even allowed to go up in a helicopter that morning. The fog was becoming more dense as they flew closer to their destination (about 17 miles away) when the pilot began calling for special instructions on how to proceed. At one point, he was told that he was flying too low. The last maneuver he made was to increase his altitude, but then made a left downward turn. After that, they lost all communication with the pilot. It's anybody's guess what happened in those last moments, but it's probable that the pilot lost all sense of direction from not being able to see anything in the fog..

I feel bad for all of them having lost their lives this way when a simple change of plans to travel by car that morning could have prevented this awful tragedy.
