'Hollywood' is not setting up Senate - hearings to grill

Posted: Sep 16th, 2019 - 5:37 am In Reply to: McCarthyism? Look at leftist groups who blacklist free - speech by those who advertise

people about their political affiliations, which in affect causes them to lose their livelihoods/careers. Asking someone publically to be nonsupportive or boycott another's movies, music, etc. by exposing their political leanings (as long as it's true) is not the same and is perfectly legal (free speech). Besides, it pretty much only embarrasses people. It is not the same thing at all as being forced to sit through a Senate hearing being grilled. The government is not allowed to do this sort of thing anymore without a legal basis for doing so, such as a confirmation hearing or 'legal' investigation.
