for political reasons. At least McCarthy had the right motives in his efforts to expose Communism. McCarthy was right, there were Communists in Hollywood and the State Department. Nixon exposed Algier Hiss, that's why the Democrats hated him.

These rotten democrats are petty, vindictive, bitter, angry and hostile that their coup d’état failed.

So they are trying for Plan B.
