Pearson Publishing, who publish this ‘textbook’ are based in the UK. They are in 60 countries and have 24,000 employees. So, they are not in any way an American company. Their stock has dropped from a high of 22 5 years ago to 11 currently, so obviously they haven’t been doing exceptionally well.

Their governance is summarized in the link below. Make your own judgments, but they seem to be heavily liberal. My perspective is that textbooks to teach American students should be published in America by an American company with American leadership who actually love America. Textbooks shouldn’t be politicized, but biases are hard to guard against, and we should make every effort to ensure that the biases of those with a political agenda are not incorporated in textbooks for American children.
