When you can prove that it works on a small scale, everyone will want it. - sm

It's too risky. We have a system that works reasonably well. Trying to change it could crash the whole thing.

If you really want it, then pick a state or a county or a city or any local municipality. Get the people and the medical centers in that small cross section of America to agree to whatever kind of medicare for all system you deem appropriate.

This is all you need to do. Prove the concept on a small scale.

Once you have it working, everyone is taken care of, and has maintained their wealth/quality of life (as compared to the rest of the country) you'll have the media beating down your door to write stories about how you did it and how you can scale it to a larger area. If that works too, then the rest of the country will naturally want to get on board.

This is how you get Medicare for All.

How not to get it is by passing national laws that ignore mathematical and economic realities, like Obamacare. No one will support that, especially after what happened with Obamacare.

That's just the reality of the situation.
