But would people feel that way about his actions - if Trump had not said what he did?

I believe not.

Nobody questions a war hero, or nobody did until Trump started in on McCain, way back at the beginning of his campaign.

It was shocking at the time, and it was reprehensible, but his base loved it for some reason, or at least didn't mind it, and eventually even Lindsey Graham seems to just let it slide, which is bizarre, since McCain was his best friend.

So can I ask you, had Trump not started demeaning and trashing McCain, would you feel that way about McCain?

And have you ever asked yourself how someone like Trump, who has never served his country and took the rich kid's way out of Vietnam, thinks he even has the right to criticize?

It boggles the mind, the way that Trump's supporters take up his causes, no matter how heinous, and never seem to question why he attacks someone like John McCain, who is a true hero?

I don't get it and I would never do it. If someone I was for politically did this that would be it for me, I don't see how you can look the other way with that kind of thing.

It's about integrity or lack thereof, which John McCain, for all his faults, had plenty of.
