Syria has an Alawite leader which is a Shiite denomination in a Shiite country that honors and respects Christians. Sunnis set up an attempted take over of the Shiites sovereign nation. They have now been slaughtered by Syria and its invited allies. Hamas is Sunni and Hamas is Palestinian.
