Aesop's fables have been transmitted through the ages since before Christ. - sm

I am not talking about Aesop being a field of study, and people don't have to be steeped in Aesop's fables to recognize their existence, relevance, and importance as classic pieces of storytelling.

Like I said: I guess we don't teach this stuff anymore.

Catholic school isn't going to be a big Aesop stomping ground, as the fables involve ethics and morals, but not a god.
