No problems for me...SM - Old Anon

Posted: Dec 31st, 2018 - 6:23 am In Reply to: Cataract surgery - FF

I had my left eye done first about 4 years ago. Not one problem, lots of eye drops before and afterwards for about 3 weeks. I got a special lens for astigmatism which cost me a couple hundred extra but had great results with 20/30 vision. I didn't have my right eye done right away, so just had my eyeglass lens on the left popped out because I didn't need it anymore. Eight months later, I had the right eye done. Same drops, results, etc. but on my next day follow-up visit after the surgery, my intraocular pressure was a little eye, so was prescribed glaucoma drops for a week or two and on follow-up, it corrected itself. I love having 20/30 vision in both eyes, which I hadn't had since the 3rd of 4th grade. I have to wear reading glasses which I've picked up at the pharmacy--no expensive prescription glasses. I went to a very respected ophthalmologist practice in my area, so get recommendations from your friends or your doctor on who does the best job with this procedure.
