I had contact lens implants in 1999. Around 2005 I had to have cataract surgery. He removed my lens implant and lens and inserted the new lens. No problems with either eye. I was good to go the same day. You do have drops to put in your eyes for several days. I had YAG capsulotomy also, no down time, no problems. I was fairly young, 54, when I had it done. I was very nearsighted, so cataract surgery was great.
