That's exactly what Obama did and it didn't work. - Alternative? sm

Obama gave us tax cuts only in 2010 when the economy was still slowly recovering. And he had continued slow growth for the rest of his Presidency. Obama didn't know how to raise the GDP, put people back to work, or improve the economy. When Trump said he would do it, Obama mocked him for thinking he had a "magic wand."

Then Trump became president and did what Obama said was impossible.

You're welcome to your opinion. But we have 8 years of Obama history that shows those policies don't work. Not only did the economy not take off. We continued building the national debt. It was the worst of all worlds.

It's one thing to assume debt to take on a strong investment. That good investment will pay off over time and leave you with a net gain. That's what you're seeing now under Trump.

It's a bad thing to take on debt, like Obama did, while keeping things stagnant. Obama's debt paid for the stimulus package, which didn't pay off. It also increased healthcare, welfare, and food stamp benefits to those left jobless by the recession, so much so that they likely felt no need to find other work. Not that they could have even if they wanted to... Obama also increased regulations and that made corporations stop investing in the US. They sat on their money and waited him out.

Obama's method was like taking a paycheck loan and giving it to the homeless drunk living on the street.
