The reason I mentioned DACA was because it was an EO from Obama. I wasn't comparing DACA recipients to the people in the caravan.
I was comparing a possible EO from Trump on birthright citizenship to Obama's EO for DACA, which is now defunct.
The military is there for whatever the President wants them to do. He's the Commander in Chief. The military has a long history in providing help during and after natural disasters. The caravan with thousands of (voluntarily) displaced people could easily be considered a natural disaster. (Did they bring toilets with them? Where are they defecating? On the street?) Use of the military is entirely appropriate here, both as a defense of the border and for humanitarian aid.
How is it that you claim to know what Trump's base realizes or is pumped up by? Are you imagining yourself as a mind reader?
