First of all, why would your DIL take a strange man to the hardware store where your husband works, knowing he was there.
Secondly, and I don't mean this in a bad way, but.... mind your own business. If there is something going on and you tell your son, you are getting involved in their relationship. Also, if there is NOTHING going on and you tell your son what you suspect, you are going to lose a relationship with your son... forever. This is their problem, so let them fix it if it needs fixing. Just stay out of it for your own sake. Karma has a way of fixing things.
