So can I ask if you are MTs? If so, how do you - get a car/flooring on $16 a week extra?

Per the link on who gets pay increases from the tax cuts:

"According to the Tax Policy Center’s analysis of the legislation, the lowest 20 percent of earners (with an income of $25,000 or less) should see an average tax cut of $60 this year, and those in the second-lowest 20 percent should see a reduction or $380. Spread those across 24 paystubs, assuming a bimonthly payment scheme, and that results in about $2.50 per paycheck for the lowest earners and $16 for the second-lowest."

So I do believe we most of us MTs are in the lowest or second lowest category and ain't nobody buying a car or flooring on that. Are you then in the higher earning group somehow? And if you are, you should say so I think.

"The top 20 percent of earners, on the other hand, should expect an average cut of $7,640, or about $320 per paycheck. And the top 1 percent of earners should receive an average $51,000 cut, which comes out to about an extra $2,100 every two weeks."

Now you can definitely buy a car or flooring on that, but $16 a week? Nup.

To be fair, this article says the tax cuts are getting more popular, but bear in mind that was about 2 months ago, and most of us poors who wanted to believe have removed the wool from our eyes, and if you notice Republicans are not crowing about these cuts as a way to get votes anymore. They know the ones who got the pay increases were likely to vote for them anyway.
