Colt, based in Connecticut since the 1800s, employs roughly 900 people in the state. Sturm, Ruger & Company is also based in the state. In all, the industry employs about 2,000 people in Connecticut.

OMG! Colt! And they are famous for a special type of a rifle besides their 1911’s and Peacemakers. Lots of families in CT. rely on the manufacture of weapons. (Other weapons of a larger scale are also manufactured in CT.)

I hope they move here to Texas as well.
