and where it will lead seems pointless. The Congressional committees are child's play compared to the Mueller investigation. He's running a tight ship and apparently people aren't used to what that means.
As far as 2018 and 2020, who knows what will happen. I have read from different sources that prominent republicans are worrying because they are realizing the country is not all about white Christians anymore and they have to start finding ways to appeal to minorities and non-Christians. These were opinions and not facts but interesting nonetheless.
As far as 2020 presidential election, I know I will vote anybody but Trump. I certainly hope the democrats bring promising candidates in that are not named Clinton or Oprah and better yet an independent that has a snowball's chance to win, but there is nobody that would run that I can think of that would make me want to vote for Trump.
These are only my thoughts and make no predictions.
