Stress, blood pressure, post traumatic stress disorder. - MT1961

Posted: Nov 24th, 2017 - 5:47 pm

I was the victim of a violent crime some years ago. I have post traumatic stress disorder. I have worked for a transcriptionist for many years.  I have coped and worked through it and I have worked hard to this very day.  However, today I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I really did.  I was given an e mail that my company has been sold and I will no longer have my job with this company with the secure wages I have been used to. After I read the e mail my work queue was turned off. No notice. Poof. Just like that. I went through anger, denial, then I started feeling very sick. I know my blood pressure went through the roof. My doctors have said my fear of financial ruin is a major trigger for my post traumatic stress disorder and as it is I was struggling with my main job and side jobs. Now I was supposed to cover my son on my insurance b/c my ex had a stroke and is retiring. I felt like I was going to die. It was not a panic attack, I truly could not breathe.  I felt like this headache from blood pressure would not go away. Finally, I signed up for independent contractor health insurance for my son and I, went onto unemployment and refreshed my case or appealed it as I was laid off from my night job last month, and got this e mail today. I am doing everything I can to not lose everything. But I think I am losing my health. I don't want to go to the emergency room because I am not sure I will be allowed to leave the hospital. I am not even sure if my job still has me insured since no work and that e mail today. I am freaking out. Anyone with any advice on how to help me healthwise, home remedies would be most appreciated. Thanks. PS: This was a black Friday for sure!
