I just found out that come January - my insurance company

will only be covering half of my Ambien prescription. When I called them to ask why after getting the letter in the mail, she told me it was because of this opioid epidemic. Hopefully, my doctor can straighten it out with a letter of medical necessity. I've been on it for 6 years and never have I abused drugs in my life. I'm really upset and anxious about potentially losing it.

The sad thing is, if I do lose my medication or end up having to spend far more money on it than exceeds my budget, I will probably end up turning to cheap alcohol to help me cope with anxiety and sleep at night. So much for their war on opioid addiction. People will only turn elsewhere.
