I did some research when on this forum I saw the link posted for a video that was described as very interesting about the prophecy of Donald Trump, the election, and how it relates to the Bible. I found another as well, and the link is below. It is also printed out to read in case you do not have the time or the Internet gigs to use while it streams on your computer.

I found this very interesting and since I am a very religious person, I do hope this has merit. I believe that this nation is still One Nation Under God, despite the minority in this country who do not believe in God, who (1 person is all it took) dispelled prayer from schools, who take a knee when the American Flag is displayed and the Star Spangled Banner is played. The media only report on those who fit this description, whereas the good people in this nation far out number those who are not. Take a look and see what you think. I know there will be some who are impressed and others who are not, but I do hope that this prophecy is one that comes true. Either way, God is with us--that I believe, because it is true.

Christian is as Christian does, in my book. BTW, my book makes no mention of Trump other than metaphorical stories about the Pharisees ad money changers.

God is not political. He is not for one country or another. We are one people on earth. I get tired of people acting like he takes precedence from one over another. Quit mixing religion with politics.

In the Bible it often talks of God seeing to it that a particular person is put on the throne.

God gave in to the people of the time sometimes, but when something was very important, He did step in.

I cannot quote you the particular places in the Bible but maybe someone else can.

God belongs in everything we do on earth. It is a shame we now see what taking Him out of everything we can is doing to our very fabric of our country, our lives, our families, etc. We all need to go back and listen to Him, read the Bible and most of all repent and pray for His will to be done.

God is a figment of your imagination. Most of - us dont insertion religion into EVERYTHING we do.

There have been true prophecies and false prophecies over the many years, and I believe in prophecy, but based on Deut. 18:21-22, I think that the most anyone can say in this particular case is, "We'll find out on election day" whether this man's prophecy is true or false. (If Trump is actually elected, then we get find out about the rest of his prophecy down the road.)

As for me, I'm a strong Christian and lean Republican, but I can NEVER EVER in good conscience support a man who talks and behaves the way Trump does, and will not be voting for him.

Abraham Lincoln called for prayer and a day of fasting during the Gettysburg Address where 48,000 men died. To put that in perspective, 58,000 men died in Vietnam total. Can you image if a president went on TV today and called for a day of prayer?

As to whether politics and religion "mix well", I've not observed that banishing religion and commonly shared tenets of faith from the public discourse has produced much in the way of desirable outcomes.

Indeed, even as someone who is not particularly religious, it looks to me that our experience in recent years has been quite the opposite. Chaos and social disorder seem to have grown just about in proportion to the degree that faith has been expelled from the public square.

Perhaps more to the point, I consider the dismissal and rejection of the religious concerns of a citizen on the basis of their beliefs to be the dismissal and rejection of that citizen as a human being - just as much so as the refusal of service on the basis of race is to a person of color - and I reject prejudice of ANY KIND simply because prejudice is the ultimate form of irrational thinking.

There are many people who pride themselves on not being prejudiced, and yet who are just as prejudiced toward people of faith as the most rabid Klan member is toward minorities.

I welcome people of faith to participate fully in the fabric of our society, including in decisions regarding policy. Irrefutably, faith is a fact of the human experience, and for a substantial segment of society it is the cornerstone of their existence. Even on a merely practical level, it is simply madness to ignore faith, or to pretend that it can or should be barricaded away from the halls of governance, or from the political process itself.

It's one thing to say that politics and religion don't mix well (and in fact, there is contrary evidence), and quite another thing to say that they don't mix easily. Anyone who's mixed and kneaded bread dough by hand knows the difference between "well" and "easily".

Much like the arts, philosophy, literature and cultural practices, religion is one of the leavening ingredients of a civilized society. And, like the yeast in bread dough, it ought to be well mixed in, not left out because we're too lazy to do the work of kneading.

Thank you to the OP and also for your response to the ones who, in my opinion, retorted unfairly to this post. If religion should not be mixed into our governing, then why do candidates put forth such an effort to win the votes of evangelicals? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian values. In my opinion if 7 out of 10 of the founding fathers were christian then that is a strong enough fact for me to say that this country was founded upon Christianity. In another light, if this wasn't a christian country then we shouldn't have ''in God we trust" on our currency, and no one would have said,lets put "one nation under God" in our nations pledge... A Pledge is a strong statement of what one believes in. Donald Trump is a Christian. He has his faults, as we all do, but if we weigh the two candidates and the corruption that exists in our government today, I choose to hope that the prophecy the OP posted here is valid. As we recite the Lord's prayer we ask for "thy will be done." Let's pray that more than ever now, for God's will to be done for a nation that has been engulfed in turmoil, confusion, violence, evil deception, lies, and wickedness more than generations have ever seen or been able to imagine. unfortunately, the greediest parts of our country (Wall St., banks, CEOs and their bloated, top-heavy corporations, and the power-hungry) have the most access to the media because they have the most money to throw at them. Which in turn, ramps up media greed. It's gotten sop the average guy with not a lot of money and a good heart doesn't stand a chance in the U.S. anymore. What's so "off" these days is that we've been divided and polarized just like back in the Civil War days. If something doesn't change for the better, with more opportunities, equality and fairness for the average person, I shudder to think what our country's future holds for us.
