Marines tell not so well-formed "militias"

Even the Marine Corps thinks average people with guns are dangerous. stations "scare" recruits. Sort of begs the question to recruit someone to carry a gun and kill people, but the sight of a gun in the process might "Scare" them, but that's all part of the psychological distortion to enlistment. Keep their eyes focused on the pretty far away places, the benefits, the college tuition (if they live that long or are sane when they get back) after all they can always become cops, right?
