LOTTERY

Sealed  HEY ALL!  I plan on winning BIG at the lottery this time.  Anybody want anything?   Haha!

I would - I'd like a life. Do you need my address to send me one? - sm

I wish you all the best and hope you win. For once I'd love to hear someone on this board has won a lottery. I would not feel jealousy, but instead happiness for the winner. We don't go to the store that often and therefore I just don't play. Don't even know where I could even buy a ticket here.

But I'll be wishing you to win. Everyone deserves some happiness.

Did you hear about the lady in Texas? - LK

I was reading an article about her in the paper today - she has hit big wins in the lottery FOUR times, to the tune of a total of 21 million. The latest was 10 million, just a month ago. FOUR times! What in the world is up with that?

She probably has some type of system. - Backwards Typist

When I used to play scratch offs, I never bought just one. I always bought 4 or more. She probably checked the odds on winning and choses that amount of tickets.

I won $500 one time on a scratch off doing that. Thank heavens. Came at a time when my car was going to be repossessed in 2 days unless I coughed up $498 (that's all I owed after paying on time for 3 years). They held off until I got my money and the car was mine....it died a year later. LOL

I seem to recall she was a math professor, so I'm sure she did - have a system.

But then you have to wonder why all mathematicians are not rich!!

I am not greedy, a $150K would be enough for me - sm - ECMT

Would pay off all the bills, and cover the taxes on the money and maybe have a few thousand left over to bulk up the bank account. Look forward to hearing from you! LOL!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Hope you win. - Backwards Typist

I, too, would like to hear someone won big.

I wish I could afford to play, but then again, it seems like the numbers are stacked against me. I watch, but don't play anymore.

I would be happy with $50K. That would pay off my bills and the taxes. But I wouldn't turn down more than that.

If ya win, send me your numbers. Maybe they'd be good for me, too. LOL

Lottery/tax QOct 17, 2009
No I did NOT win the lottery but I was just wondering... If a person was to win the lottery, say about 5 mil, I know that they have to pay taxes when they get the money, but do they have to pay taxes on it every year like an income.  Say I won 5 mil and quit my job and let most of it sit in a bank.  Would I have to pay an annual tax on that money or would I only have to pay that 1 time when I first got the money?  This is assuming I just kept my 5 mil in a regular old savings/chec ...

I Have Decided That If I Win The Lottery....Nov 27, 2012
I am going to set-up a new transcription company.  My clients will have to go with one form used across the board for every one of the notes done no matter what they are.  For ESL folks, their cost to me would be more than those who speak English well.  We would have an action committee where ALL people would be heard and management would require answering all employees issues within a set amount of time.    The MT's will actually get paid what they are worth. ...

Instant Lottery TicketsJun 10, 2010
In March I began buying instant lottery tickets at a shop in one of the malls where I live.  I was lucky at first, nothing major.   I won $40.00 on a $5.00 ticket.  Then I won $50.00 on a $5.00 ticket, and I won $10.00 on a $.500 ticket.  That went on for a few weeks.  Now I can't win anything to save my life.  It can be addicting.  I have really cut down on what I am spending, but it is tempting.  Do any of you have much luck?  I think ...

This type of person just sucks the life out of this country.  She feels she's entitled to food stamps.  Poor thing!  After all, she has 2 houses and has bills to pay!  Shame on her.  I'd bet my next house payment that she voted for Obama.    Lottery winner using food stamps: ‘I thought maybe it was okay because I’m not working’ 11:16 AM 03/07/2012 ADVERTISEMENT While most people have played the “if I had a million d ...
