can go target shoot all they want but until they are faced with a real-life situation they really don't know how they would react. That teacher's adrenaline would be flowing so much that the teacher would most likely freeze up or be so shaky that they might take out a kid. So, then what? They would be totally chastised to doing this.
I also agree on the fact that there are many shootings where people use their parent's gun(s). I was raised in a home where there were guns in an unlocked gun case, but that was long ago. Times have changed and in these times, guns need to be locked up. What should happen to the irresponsible parents, I don't know, but just as times have changed, gun laws need to change to represent the times instead of the days when our founders owned muskets.
In case people haven't noticed, the constitution and other laws have been changed to represent the times such as women voting, blacks being considered people and so forth, so gun laws need to be changed too. to represent the times we live in instead of the days when muskets were pretty much the only thing out there.
