Holy Basil supplement

Anyone have any experience with this herb for stress and anxiety? I'm thinking about trying it but hoped to get some opinions. Thank u

I didn't do well when I tried Holy Basil in the past because after about two weeks it started giving me breast tenderness. I also didn't notice much difference as far as handling stress. I read that Basil is also sometimes used to help women increase milk production, so my body was probably extra sensitive to it.

My favorite two herbal "stress helpers" that I found are Ashwagandha (an Ayurvedic herb) and Rhodiola rosea (golden root). These two seemed to really work well for me.

I've also read that L-theanine (one of the water soluble amino acids that is found mainly in green and black tea) works well, but I haven't ever tried that one.

What do you do? We try to go to church every Sunday (our observed Sabbath Day) and for the rest of the day focus on spiritual rather than wordly things. We don't shop, eat out in restaurants, go to sporting events, etc. We do spend time with family, play games, read, and such, and really just try to have some good, quality time together.
