You've got to be kidding!!!! A soap opera producer?????

Posted: Dec 3, 2014

Because the Bold and the Beautiful producer raised over $2 MILLION dollars for Obama's re-election, she is chosen for AMBASSADOR to Hungary...and doesn't even know WHERE Hungary is????? On top of that, she has no idea what our country's interests are in Hungary. WTH!

She's supposed to represent the USA...what does SHE know except how to pay for her appointment? What happens if Russia decides to take over Hungary...what will she do?

This is crazy! You used to appoint people who will represent the USA by knowing the ins and outs of the country and their laws, customs, etc. You didn't BUY your appointment.

The idea that Barbara Boxer defended her because "she knows how to make friends" doesn't cut it, either. SMH.

Watch BOTH videos or all three if you can stomach them.

I remember that Shirley Temple Black was chosen to be an ambassador... she was a republican appointed by a Democratic president... what did she do before that but be a child star? Did you complain about that??

and in 1967, became active in politics before becoming an ambassador. Henry Kissinger got her started in foreign service.

She was a representative to the 24th United Nations General Assembly; appointed United States Ambassador to Ghana; appointed first female Chief of Protocol of the United States and was in charge of arrangements for President Jimmy Carter's inauguration and inaugural ball.

She served as the United States Ambassador to Czechoslovakia; the first and only female US ambassador to Czechoslovakia.

So....I would say Shirley Temple had a lot of experience in the political arena, wouldn't you?

Even some Democrats do not want to get close to and work with Obama because they do not agree with his policies; therefore, let the inexperienced have the ambassador jobs.

I am 71-years-old and ambassadors have always been awarded this way. nm - Rosie

I'm not a fan of patronage either, but Obama is certainly not the first to engage in it.

19 Bars Of SoapAug 30, 2011
It's been over a year, and I am finally down to 19 bars of soap.  I have had to walk away from the soap aisle just to stop myself, resisting the urge to purchase even more.  What is up with that?  Also, I must have 20 plates and 20 coffee cups, with just me and my 10/yo living here.  Most of those are going to have to hit the thrift store, since I just bought 4 more!  I know I'm nuts.  Just wondering if there are others out there who cannot stop themselves ...

Ivory Soap And Leg CrampsJan 21, 2011
The family practice doc I type for has been telling patients to put a bar of Ivory soap under the sheets in their beds to help RLS and leg cramps.  I thought "how bizarre" but the patients are swearing up and down that it actually works.  I googled it and sure enough, a lot of people are using it.  I can't find any explanation why it works, just that it does.  I have been plagued for years with RLS and can't afford the medication so I can't wait to go out and g ...
