What the media (and the GOP elite) don't get about Trump.

Politicians are skilled in the art of "making nice", "saying nothing", obscuring their positions (i.e., Clinton is actually quite hawkish but hides it from her base), answering questions with nonsequiturs or completely ignoring the question and shifting the ground of discussion, etc.

Trump, on the other hand, comes from a different world. This is a world where, if a contractor painted the wall yellow and it was supposed to be green, you didn't pretend that the wall was green in order to make "someone" happy. You called it yellow, you penalized the painting contractor, and you demanded that it be painted green exactly as the contract requires.

I'm the first to admit that Trump is SPECTACULARLY unskilled in political double-talk, or the so-called "sophisticated" language of diplomacy whereby a million words are spoken but nothing is said.

I love him, and I wish he were the King of the United States with the power to throw out the garbage, renegotiate rotten deals with other countries, anhiliate ISIS even at the cost of some civilian lives (hey, ISIS are the ones hiding behind women's skirts), and setting America back on the path to the leading world nation status that it once enjoyed (and which made the world a safer, better place in which to live.)

...the more we know about "controversial" statements Trump has made (e.g., the Kahns and their vested interests in making money off Muslim refugees), the more we see that he's absolutely right.

Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is a corrupt pandering politician of the "old order", and we're going to dump her on her wrinkled ass.

They hate Trump because he tells it exactly like it is. - They did the same to Sanders.

I had a lot of empathy with Sanders supporters who recognized that the system itself is rigged, and that the average voter no longer counts in the rigged system.

So I ask this: As a Sanders supporter, you can simply stay home, or you can put someone in office who is beholden to no one, who "GETS" the fact that the system is stacked against you, and who will in all likelihood support some of your agenda.

VOTE TRUMP! DO NOT STAY HOME!!

I don't know. People tend to believe polls. I once had a pollster call me and when I told him I was a Republican he hung up.

I've seen the adds in my state from Democrats, same ole playbook, R are cutting SS, Medicare, blah blah blah.

Trump is slipping down that slope faster than anyone would think possible for one ridiculous reason: He can't shut his dumb mouth up and keeps coming out with bigger horrifying statements which give pause to the wider electorate.

Yes, we know the white male without college LOVE Trumpie and many women who think men have been treated badly too (which I confess I do not get) love him. But most people back away more every time he opens his big fat dumb mouth and we learn what kind of candidate - what kind of person - he really is.

Do you really think it's in the pollsters' interest to make the polls in favor of Hillary? Media wants a real fight and they will actually pay pollsters for that. Witness the huge fail in 2012 that Romney was definitely going to win! And the humiliating dragging of Rove into the room where the results were, despite what their pollsters were telling them (Rassmussen to be specific).

If you want accurate results you can look on 538. They get a lot of things right and you don't have to pay to look at their page.

I have this bookmark to look at every day. Whichever way you look, Trump's numbers are going down and down.

I do think there are a lot of ways polls get things wrong in this day and age and Trump voters do seem to come out of a lot of different places, but there are only so many of them despite how strongly they feel.
