Sasha and Malia in the Caribbean for SB. Still no

Posted: Mar 25, 2013

People are always saying what a good father YKW is.  HA!!  This is a role model?  The kids are old enough to know that the economy is not in good shape and we the people must sacrifice.  Not them.  You think they don't see this?

;

Hope they don't party too hard. They have Martha's - Vineyard coming right up.

Another example of Conservative high moral values - and the hipocrisy

To be fair to cons, this is this little group. They represent - themselves, not American conservatism in general.n

But didn't their father? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Doesn't it reflect on their high moral upbringing that they would show such disrespect for the standard the First Family is held to? Not to mention the stupidity of putting themselves in very compromising and dangerous situation.

I see hypocrisy across the board with conservatives, from claiming to be fiscally conservative (Republican administrations outspend Democratic) to moral conservatism.
I'm sorry, you misunderstood. I suggested not badmouthing - all conservatives because of posters here. BUT,
[ In Reply To ..]
I also feel you misunderstand the entire situation you're discussing. The Obama family is behaving to proper standards, and--of course!--the parents are not putting their children in danger. Silly stuff.

Come on. Think what it means to google this topic and find YOURSELF as one of a half doze people trying to make something out of this. Out of hundreds of millions in this country alone? Maybe wandering a little too far from the village?
nice post - doe (nm)

Sasha and Malia in Caribbean - NK

I googled "Sasha and Malia Caribbean" to find more information about your post.

You're famous. Your post came up the #2 search result. You must be so proud.

I would have thought you would have heard it sooner. - So very sorry. :))

Gee, I don't know. Why did you hear about the Bush twins? - huh? (sm)
[ In Reply To ..]
When the American people cannot visit the WhiteHouse, and yet these 2 can go on yet another vacation, why shouldn't we hear about it?
THAT's the point. I DIDN'T hear that about the Bush twins. - Oh sure, low, mean people did badmouth those
[ In Reply To ..]
poor girls, but most people, including me, did not GO LOOKING FOR THIS RUBBISH TO ENJOY LISTENING TO IT. One thing about the mainstream media, it's basically hands off the White House kids. No dragging them into the mud pit. Same for the kids of other national figures.

Fact is, since the MSM hardly ever mentioned them, and since I couldn't care less what clothes they wore or what parties they showed up at (a la People Magazine), months could go by without my being reminded of their existence--usually photographed at Dad's side or something.

So I suggest you don't go searching the slimy fringes for this stuff about the Obama children either. After all, these mean people aren't following you around your house telling you this stuff, they're not on the evening news, and they're not writing for the newspaper thrown on your lawn each day--you have to go look for this trash talk.
They dont just go looking for it - BillyJoe
[ In Reply To ..]
They roll around, slop in it and revel in it. Well here is something for them to handwring and lose sleep and spew hate over (although I am sure it wont be a concern until it is the man in the white house at the present time benefiting from it....

Actually, no, - NK

[ In Reply To ..]
I would not have heard about it had I not seen it here. I'm 71 years old, and other than vaguely remembering people making fun of Margaret Truman's singing, a few mean-spirited people suggesting that Amy Carter was ugly, and, of course, the same criticism about Chelsea Clinton, I don't believe there has ever been so much worry about what a President's children did or did not do. I suppose I could add the Bush twins, but actually that was self-induced on their parts and not just people looking for something ridiculous to criticize. I hope the Obama girls are enjoying their spring break and that they take a couple of dollars of my tax money for an ice cream cone.
Ah, so nice to stumble on this generous thought. - So, you remember Margaret Truman? Neat. :) nm

I wasnt aware the money for the tours - BillyJoe

[ In Reply To ..]
came right out of the Obama Family pocket. Well if that is the case you are right...so selfish. Now if it comes from tax dollars I guess that would make someone like say...the Koch brothers who dont want to pay a few percentage more taxes would be the greedy ignorant non-sacrificers huh?

I really did need a chuckle this morning. Thanks :) Oh and to all you "Christians" out there...Happy Easter, Remember Jesus died to save you from your sins.

Their vacay and the WH tours - both - come out of our - taxpayer dollars. Not the Obo pocket.(sm)

The past 10 or more presidents have been assigned special perks that come with the job (seeing their pay is less than most CEOs make) and to guarantee their safety. This man is no different than any of them (well expect for one thing) so the people who continually whine about him doing things that were afforded to past Presidents are little balls of hate and nothing more.
Oh, really? Does that include 40 of Michelle's (sm) - me again
[ In Reply To ..]
friends whom she takes with her and the Secret Service who have to attend to those? What about the friends of the children and the extra Secret Service that requires? That's a perk that preceding Presidents have used? Gee, I hadn't heard that, but thanks for enlightening me on this misinformation.
40 or so friends? - BillyJoe
[ In Reply To ..]
Who told you that Michelle Bachman? Hahahaha! Again thanks for my morning chuckle. Dont forget to beat them boys with pussy willows on Monday girls!!
No, hun, that would be CBS news. You need (sm) - me again
[ In Reply To ..]
to pay attention to what is going on in the world, then you wouldn't be so quick to talk about "that other thing" you mentioned. I enclose a link for your viewing pleasure. It was 40 of her "closest" friends who occupied 60 to 70 rooms. I'd say that is a lot of Secret Service wouldn't you? Also, I don't know what beating the boys with pussy willows means, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. No need to explain to me, you have some reading to do. Here you go with a link.
August 5 2010? Spain? Yawn - BillyJoe
[ In Reply To ..]
I thought we were talking about the girls going on a spring break vacation? Seriously we are bringing up 2 year old things and still throwing tantrums over them? Again I ask you where 40 of Michelles friends are going on Spring Break with the girls? Like I said H. Bush , W Bush, Clinton, etc have all been given Secret Service protection and the Obama's deserve it too.

In regards to your old hashed out story..."The White House says that as a policy, official trips by the first family are paid by the government but all personal elements paid are personally. Since this is a private trip, the White House seems to be suggesting that the Obamas are personally paying all costs associated with the vacation"

Now I'm yawning. I don't give a rat's patoot about (sm) - me again
[ In Reply To ..]
any of that, and I never said Michele was on SB of 2013 with 40 friends, but that's neither here nor there. These people care about no one but themselves. They are selfish and a bad role model for their children. If you can't see that, oh well....Now I'm bored with this. See ya! Oh, one P.S. "The WH seems to be suggesting...." HAHA -not exactly transparent, is it.
Pardon me - BillyJoe
[ In Reply To ..]
for thinking you were discussing that seeing this is subject of the thread the OP posted about. How do you know what those girls are taught? You work in the White House? You come in contact with these girls? Good thing you dont use your real name cause I would imagine what your children would learn from you if they could read your posts.

Oh and a PS for you, if you do some homework I would imagine the white house has to have some kind of expense report so you can see how much the Obama's and ALL the former Presidents spent.
S

See ya!
Of course I do not attend school with them (sm) - me again - one last time

but I do know that they are old enough to know that many people in the country their daddy professes to love so much, people are suffering and can barely make ends meet. Daddy asks for shared sacrifice. Do you think they have given up one little bitty teeny weeny thing? Kids aren't stupid. That's a pretty sucky role model, IMO. BTW, my kids agree with me.
Wallow and roll - BillyJoe

Their daddy wants his taxes raised. Their daddy wants billionaires to pay more so we can have safe roads and bridges.

As far as your kids...I am sure they do hun...I am sure they do.
LOL - safe roads and bridges - as in infrastructure? - me again
[ In Reply To ..]
wasn't that what the stimulus was for? But alas, the projects weren't as shovel ready as daddy thought. And daddy thought that was funny. Billionaires already pay. Now it's time for the slackers to get off their butts and get some skin in the game, as they say. My kids probably pay more taxes than you, so don't you worry, sweets.

"The White House has said that the Obamas paid their own way for the Spain trip, during which the first lady, along with daughter Sasha, traveled around the country and visited with the royal family. Officials told The New York Times in August 2010 that two friends and four of their daughters, along with two aides and two advance staff members, went on the trip. The friends paid for their own rooms, food and transportation, the officials said."

When do you get to see them in their natural habitat when they know no cameras are on them? When, exactly?
Not the OP, but what is your point? - alias
[ In Reply To ..]
The poster said they're good girls, and they do seem like good girls. There's no evidence to suggest otherwise.

Could they actually be little demons when they're out of the public eye? Of course. But there's no reason to think so that I know of.
natural habitat? - interesting

These are young girls. YOUNG GIRLS. They are the children of the President. Intelligent grown-ups understand healthy boundaries. It is not our privilege to be made privy to the lives of these children. Hopefully, you can find an adult to explain this to you.
I don't want to be privy to their lives. I am just (sm) - Annie Donia

pointing out the hypocrisy. No one on this board KNOWS what kind of home life they have.
What hypocrisy? Someone says they're good kids - and you call that hypocrisy?
[ In Reply To ..]
A lot of people generally say "they're good kids" without knowing all the down and dirty details of what goes on at home. I've said it myself about other peoples' kids. Do I sit in their room and watch them all the time? No, but from what I can see, they're good kids.

I don't know why that comment bothered you so much.
It's hard to be sure they are good kids with no good - role models, that's all.

It's despicable the way they flaunt all their vacations and the "good life" while we whittle away the hours with no vacation in years. My 17 yo daughter is spending her spring break working her a** off as a CNA full time to help pay for the little Obama sweethearts to vacation. I believe the Bush's went to Camp David most of the time.

The Bush twins aren't exactly a shining example - Nacho

[ In Reply To ..]
They were busy acquiring misdemeanors while their daddy was in office. They admitted to smoking pot. They thought it was funny to try to give Secret Service the slip by running red lights. One of them took off her panties in public. They were out of control.

I half expected to see the Twins - in a "Girls Gone Wild"

[ In Reply To ..]
video, meanwhile thousands of young men and women were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for a totally fabricated war.

Oh well, like daddy, like daughters.

The Bush twins took their SB in Argentina. - Also went with mom on African safari

[ In Reply To ..]
Laura Bush actually set a record for the most visits to other countries by the first lady. Just South Africa, she visited 5 different times.

She also took her girls to Paris, Budapest, Prague, Panama and maybe others, I don't know. All accompanied by Secret Service, of course.
