The poll seems to be a bit skewed by notoriously right-leaning Rasmussen's +5 figure....the only sample that gave Romney any edge at all. Even a poll of Fox viewers didn't produce that illusion.

Yet even less promising for the one who commands - those lower numbers
[ In Reply To ..]which margins of error can even further reduce, especially in polls where only one survey, whose propensity to skew rightward is legendary, gives a +5 margin to the candidate that clearly lags behind in all the others. Also, margins of error rarely exceed +/- 4 percentage points and the ones that do are generally not considered all that reliable. Take heart. We are still more than 6 months out from E-day. There is plenty of time for Mittens to try his best to bring up his rear position.

BTW, as you already know, double digits are not a prerequisite for winning elections. That 7+% he pulled off in 2008 (not to mention the electoral college TROUNCE) was more than enough to send him to the White House and McCain back to the senate chambers.
