The assignment was to respond to SOTU, not a day in the life - of a pig farmer, not
[ In Reply To ..]primary campaign reruns or a PR presentation for the do-nothing GOP Congress. She gets a D- with credit for being one step above poor Marco Rubio's painful deer-in-the-headlights performance last time.
?? Not one mention of pigs and only a few words about. - her personal life.

We did, however, hear about plows, fields, farms (we already knew raised pigs), shoes, bread sacks, Hardees biscuits, sweaty brows, dirty hands, and the GOP Congressional agenda in the broadest, most nonspecific terms possible, like we always do whenever GOP candidates hit the campaign trail, big on repeal, silent on replace.
The previous reply was not at all bizarre considering we were all expecting to hear a SOTU response.

The Omaha office of the FBI has arrested a man accused of making threats against U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa. Federal court records show Robert William Simet, 64, was arrested Friday by FBI agents in Omaha and charged with threatening a U.S. official. Simet will be taken to Council Bluffs for an initial court appearance, the FBI said.
