...but that's the Clintons for you, and I mean both of them. I was equally thunderstruck that Bill Clinton didn't have the decency to resign from office - instead subjecting the nation to the ordeal and the agony of impeachment, for which he can never be forgiven - and even more so that even after his term, instead of retiring to relative obscurity as befitted his conduct, he continued in the public eye just as if he had never committed the reprehensible behavior that led to his impeachment, and which brought the office of the President into disrepute. You'll remember that we saw very little of Nixon after his disgrace.
These people are incomprehensible to me, as are the Democrats, who did not force Clinton out of office (as the Republicans had done with Nixon), and who support Hillary for office now as if she were not the moral reprobate that she clearly is, and which frankly I doubt that even her best friends can deny.
There seems to be a lack of moral clarity on the left - and not on just these issues. In fact, this is my primary objection to liberals - their ideas, certainly, but not those nearly as much as their morals, or rather their lack of them, the impact of which can be seen throughout the American landscape, and their lack of intellectual honesty.
