Be careful now -- you wouldn't want to come off defending those scum at BP. They deserved every second of the humiliation of that hearing.
Because, hello, they should be SOLVING the leak - instead of being blowhards showing off.

As usual, they love the grandstanding. We have an ongoing disaster. Grilling this guy and making him apologize over and over is solving nothing. Do you not get this? gee
They are trying to investigate the reason for this disaster. - Backwards Typist

Is the committee supposed to go to the gulf...and do what?
We know what probably happened but they need to hear it from the horse's mouth (which they won't) so they can really stick it to them more so than they can now.....and also to keep the American people riled up against oil drilling so they can get their agenda on a stronger foot hold.
Oh baloney! How many times do you have to see - Congress wasting your tax dollars?

They were not investigating. I watched. All they did was cause this one guy to apologize over and over again. They got nowhere. In the meantime, we still have a gushing well. Obama should have called every expert in the beginning to "investigate". Politicians dont have a clue what to do. Therefore, their "investigations" are worthless!..as usual.
Because BP had no answers most of the time. - Backwards Typist

I don't know what time the session started but I caught it from 1:45 to 5:30. It was a waste.
Favorite answers from TH: "I'm not aware of that." "I have no figures to compare." "I don't have the answer to that." "I wasn't involved in that decision."
Total waste of time even though he received a letter with some questions and supposed to have the answers ready so they wouldn't waste time.

As recently as earlier this week, US House Rep. Steve King was worried that the outcome of the special Senate election in Massachusetts would be determined by voter fraud.
