"Tomorrow will mark a milestone: It will be 1,200 days since Senate Democrats passed a budget, during which time Congress amassed $4.8 trillion in new debt." “Tomorrow marks another disappointing record for the United States Senate: Senate Majority Leader Reid and his Democrat conference will have gone an unprecedented 1,200 days without adopting a budget plan as required by law," write Sessions and Ryan. "Not only have they failed to adopt a budget, but with America under threat of financial calamity, they have refused to even present a plan for public scrutiny. Last year, Majority Leader Reid said it would be ‘foolish’ to do a budget and the legally required Budget Committee mark-up was cancelled. No plan from his conference has seen the light of day. He refuses to disclose who he plans to tax and how he plans to spend taxpayers’ money." http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/1200-days-and-5-trillion-new-debt-senate-dems-passed-budget_649673.html;

No excuse for that - and it's illegal...

...to not pass a budget. Dems know that but seem to not care. They had two years of control of both the House and Senate in Obama's first two years in office and still couldn't get it done.

Right wing didn't get the memo - Huh

This year’s budget is covered by the Budget Control Act of 2011. Remember the "Super Committee?" And Obama released a budget in February 2011 that the Republicans refused to vote on. Then the Republicans released a budget they named "The Obama Budget" but it didn't resemble in any way the actual Obama Budget so it was voted down unanimously? Democrats are just staying the course waiting for those Bush 1% tax cuts to expire.

He got zero votes on his $3.7 Trillion budget plan - Dara

NEITHER side voted for it.

kick 'em all out and start over again...the whole of - anon

the govt, not just these idiots! start over...people for the people! not rich people for themselves only! wipe the slate clean and begin again. that's my solution. :-)

Again, facts misrepresented - Huh?

The Senate didn't vote down Obama's budget 99-0. They voted down Alabama Republican Jeff Sessions amendment. There's a difference.
Not so. - He didn't get a single vote.

What part of voting down the amendment - are you not getting?

Yes, the rejection of the Sessions amendment was unanimous. The OP is correct.

Eye-opening Information On Hospital Costs.Jul 05, 2012
I watched Dr. Sanjay Gupta's piece on CNN this week where he was explaining why hospital costs were so high.  Of all the bills collected by the hospital from all sources they only end up actually collecting 4%, that's 4 cents for every dollar billed!  To compensate, they bill accordingly so they come out even or ahead, $800 for a disposable chest tube that in reality costs less than $50 from the supplier.  This was really shocking to me!  To be fair, labor need ...
